Free can be fine for basic contact tracking and simple pipelines. Once you need workflows, reminders, dashboards, multi-team permissions, or reliable integrations, you usually pay.

For membership operations, a CRM alone often turns into manual work. If you care about renewals, invoices, and membership status rules, a membership platform is typically a better foundation.
