Will CRM be replaced by AI?

AI will not replace CRM, it will change how CRM is used. CRMs store structured customer data and process history. AI can summarise conversations, suggest next actions, generate emails, score leads, and detect churn risk.

The CRM becomes the system of record, and AI becomes the assistant layer on top. The winners will be teams that keep data clean and processes consistent, because AI is only as good as the inputs.

In membership organisations, AI can support retention and support, but membership rules and billing still need reliable systems.
